Hockley Brewing Company competes in the highly competitive craft beer segment in Ontario. Unlike twenty years ago, craft beer enthusiasts now have myriad choices and places to enjoy a craft brew. Established in 2003, Hockley was looking for a fresh new approach, while keeping the focus on their amazing beers.

Solution

Over the past 8 years, Kahntact has developed a series of print ads, taking a humorous approach while being respectful of the quality of the Hockley product. Many ads feature Hockley’s renowned brew master, Andrew Kohnen. Ads have successfully been extended into billboards and point-of-purchase materials. News ads are produced several times a year to keep the Hockley brand fresh – just like their beer!

Results

Hockley has steadily increased share with their three major brands – Dark, Amber and Classic. As well, we have been able to re-invest in new packaging for core brands. Feedback from the Hockley sales team and LCBO purchasing managers has been exceptional.
